My Story: From Adversity to Advocacy

A Life-Changing Accident Sparked a Mission to Make Safety Personal

Before founding Leading Safe Lineworkers, I was like many of you—working long days in a high-risk environment, trusting that experience and routine would keep me safe. But on October 19, 2015, my life changed forever. A devastating accident didn’t just challenge my physical strength—it reshaped my mindset.

That day became a turning point, revealing the critical flaws in how safety is often approached. It wasn’t enough to rely on assumptions or past practices; safety required intention, communication, and a commitment to challenge complacency.

Driven by a burning desire to protect others, I made a choice: to take my experience, my pain, and my determination, and turn it into a mission. Leading Safe Lineworkers was born from this commitment—to save lives, to empower teams, and to ensure no one else has to endure what I went through.

As a father, journeyman lineman, and business owner, I know the weight of balancing professional responsibilities with personal commitments. I’ve walked in your boots, faced the risks, and seen the impact of safety—or its lack— on individuals and families. I’m passionate about simplifying safety, making it practical and personal, and helping teams build habits that save lives.
