Hello, friends! I'm thrilled to welcome you to my blog, Leading Safe Linemen. I'm Lito Wilkins, and I'm here to share my personal journey, experiences, and insights that have led me to establish Leading Safe Linemen and create this blog.

Before I delve into the details, let me give you a glimpse of who I am. I started my career as a lineman and safety professional, dedicating myself to ensuring the well-being of my crew and making safety a top priority. In 2015 a life-altering incident occurred – a high voltage contact that served as a wakeup call. It was a stark reminder that complacency, unsafe habits, and trusting assumptions can lead to dire consequences. I am incredibly fortunate to have learned from that experience and been given a second chance at life.

My safety awakening ignited a deep passion within me. I realized that I was responsible for sharing my story, raising awareness about the dangers of complacency, and inspiring others in the field. This realization birthed Leading Safe Linemen, a platform where I could reach out to fellow linework professionals and share my experiences and growth through keynote presentations, workshops, and courses, empowering them to embrace safety and make conscious daily choices that will help them arrive home safely at the end of the day.

And now, the Leading Safe Linemen Blog emerges as a place where I'll share my thoughts, insights, and practical tips on a wide range of safety, leadership, and linework topics. I aim to create a space where we can all learn, grow, and collaborate in fostering a culture of safety excellence.

Together, we'll explore the intricacies of preventing complacency, mastering work vigilance, and becoming leaders who prioritize safety in every decision. I hope that through this blog, we'll rewrite the rulebook on safety and pave the way for a brighter, safer future in the linework industry.
